Ferguson Joins the Center
We are pleased to announce that Shannon Ferguson has accepted the position of social worker/site counselor here at The Children’s Center, replacing Heather Corriveau whose last day was January 31st.
Shannon has a Master of Social Work from Boston University and previously obtained her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Plymouth State University with a focus on Child and Family Services. Shannon comes to The Children’s Center with experience working in child protective services at the Division for Children, Youth, and Families. For the past ten years she has worked at Concord Hospital providing advanced skilled interventions for the support and resolution of families in crisis. According to her previous supervisors, Shannon has exemplary collaborative skills when it comes to working in a team environment and draws upon every resource available to her to get to the right solution. Shannon is particularly excited to work more exclusively with young children and their families once again.
We are excited to have Shannon join our staff because I believe she has just the right blend of counseling and social work experience, the ability to perform assessments as needed through a social emotional lens, and a true passion for the mission and beliefs we hold dear.
Shannon resides in Wolfeboro with her family and is excited to get started full time on February 8th as she resumes on average, a 32 hour per week schedule.
Please plan to join us in welcoming Shannon to the Center and our team!
